Plant a Tree!

Rogers Capital in its financial services, has a measurable impact on the environment in its paper consumption. Rogers Capital, in collaboration with NGO Foundation Resources et Nature, participated collaboratively in the ‘Plant a Tree’ initiative since 2019. In the 3 years of our participation to the programme, the initiative saw the planting of 300 new baby trees at La Citadelle, by our very own colleagues.

On our second Plant a Tree mission, we were elated to see the trees planted the year before, growing and saved from the fires that often happen at la Citadelle.

In an effort to reduce our carbon footprint to bring green and lush spaces back to the majestic La Citadelle, ‘Plant a Tree’ has now become an important pillar of our Sustainability initiative and an integral part of our DNA.

Plant a Tree rewards

Our participants were gifted a lovely endemic plant as a token of appreciation for their strenuous participation in our ‘Plant a Tree’ and ‘Clean Up’ initiatives. Being outside in nature and planting a tree for the betterment of the environment, now there is no better way to nurture the mind, body and soul!

World Clean – Up Day

The World Clean Up Day is one of the biggest civic movements of our time, uniting 180 countries with around 21 million volunteers across the world for a cleaner planet, an event firmly included in our sustainability agenda annually. Rogers Capital in collaboration with Velogic joined the movement to clean up the vicinity of Baie du Tombeau for two consecutive years.

We were also joined by members the locality of the Baie du Tombeau, NGO’s and as well as other companies from the Port Area. The World Clean Up day harnesses the power of people around the world to achieve incredible things by joining forces together. Its beauty lies in cooperation and collaboration amongst the volunteers that were present.

We are incredibly pleased to see all our colleagues’ positive response to the initiative and in action, working together to make the world a better place!
