Junior Achievement Mascareignes

As a branch of Junior Achievement Worldwide; Junior Achievement Mascareignes is dedicated to educating Mauritian youth on financial and economic literacy; innovation and entrepreneurship; workforce readiness and soft skills which are much needed for the 21st century work environment.

In support of the development of the youth, we at Rogers Capital for the past years have been a firm sponsor of the Junior Achievement Mascareignes.

How we donate our time to make an impact:

We are committed to supporting the NGO through active mentorship and coaching of the young participants by our staff on financial literacy and the art of competing. Anusha Manick, Project Manager at Rogers Capital, provides managerial support to the NGO by being its President.

Each month, she spends a couple of hours to oversee the operations and smooth going of the NGO.

Staffs have contributed in different forms such as: coaching, assist them in their business plan proposal for entrepreneurship, Microsoft office training.

Support to NGO through staff participation in the MOVEMBER event

Rogers Capital actively participated in the MOVEMBER contest, an event, which involves raising awareness of men health, related issues. The 2021 initiative raised a sum of MUR 7000.00 through our participants who then donated the amount of money to the NGO “TiRayons Soleil”.

“TiRayons Soleil, is an NGO created in 2007 in Mauritius that helps children and vulnerable people living in pockets of poverty. The ultimate goal of community development projects is to combat poverty and exclusion through training, empowerment, educational, nutritional, medical and paramedical support. The supervision of people in the programs makes it possible to create social ties and thus, to counteract exclusion.”
