Summary of the Role
Handle a portfolio of clients to ensure compliance with all tax filing requirements. Provide support to team members in tax related assignments. Assist in achieving the Tax Department’s objectives.
Main Responsibilities
- Participate in filing planning process, identify potential issues, gather client information as appropriate, prepare complex tax computations and returns for review.
- Provide timely and high-quality services and deliverables in accordance with Firm’s and professional standards. Meet internal deadlines to match the client expectations for timely delivery of service as well as Authority’s deadlines.
- Manage tax assignments by planning the tax process and the procedures to be performed with quality.
- Manage monthly billings of work completed and follow up on debtors.
- Provide appropriate guidance to junior tax members. Conduct detailed reviews on tasks completed by junior team members.
- Perform tax research in response to client tax matters and resolve minor tax issues. Escalate any serious matters to the senior team members in a timely manner.
- Prepare risk management procedures and any other timely reports as required.
- Answer promptly to queries or requests of clients and colleagues (from the tax department as well as other departments). Maintain active communication to manage expectations and ensure client satisfaction.
- Team with senior team members on proposals and business development opportunities.
- Ensure that all special projects, ad hoc assignments and/or other duties are duly completed as assigned.

Ideal Candidate Profile
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field
- Partly or ACCA Completed
- At least 2 year’s experience
- Good communication skills (oral and written), both in French and English
- Strong interpersonal, analytical and attention to detail skills
- Good relationship management and team spirit
