Microsoft 365 Administrator

We are seeking an experienced Microsoft 365 Administrator to join our IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our Microsoft 365 environment, ensuring optimal performance, security, and user satisfaction. This role includes administering Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and other services within the Microsoft 365 suite.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and support the Microsoft 365 environment, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive.
  • Manage user accounts, licenses, permissions, and access controls.
  • Ensure system security through regular monitoring and by implementing appropriate policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the IT security team to implement and manage security tools and technologies within the Microsoft 365 environment including Enterprise Mobility and Azure AD (Entra).
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with internal policies and industry standards.
  • Assist with the migration of data and workflows to Microsoft 365 services.
  • Provide end-user support and training on Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Stay current with Microsoft 365 updates, features, and best practices; recommend and implement improvements to our environment.
  • Work closely with Business units and customers to understand their needs and provide Microsoft 365 solutions that enhance productivity and collaboration.
  • Manage and resolve issues related to Microsoft 365 services.

Qualifications & Attributes

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
  • Microsoft 365 certifications.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Microsoft 365 Administrator or similar role.
  • Knowledge of Power Apps would be an advantage.
  • Solid experience in support management roles is preferred.
  • Excellent decision making and critical-thinking skills.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills are required.
  • Ability to meet deadlines with Projects and Assignments.
  • Ability to learn and support new technologies and train others.
  • Must be self-motivated and have a positive attitude.
  • Must be detail oriented and must have the ability to multi-task.
